What is the Play Hut?

The Play Hut at Lumen is a collection of curated amenities that we make available to our guests on a complementary basis. We rotate different items depending on the season, so in the Winter, you’ll find things such as snow shoes and sleds, whereas in the Summer, it could be lawn games for adults and kids. All of the amenities are offered for free — the only thing is that we ask that you reserve the item(s) you’re interested in and borrow it during a specified time slot.

Is it free?

Yes! All of the items are available to reserve for free to Lumen guests.

We only charge a fee if the item is retuned late ($20 per item if it’s returned after the scheduled time) or damaged/not returned (we charge the full retail value of the item).

Where Is The Play Hut?

The Play Hut is located near the Nordic Sauna on the Main Lawn.

How does it work?

You can use the reservation page to reserve whichever items you’re interested in. Choose the day and time, select the items and quantity, enter your contact information and you’re set!

Upon making the reservation, you’ll receive a code that will enable you to open The Play Hut and take the items you’ve booked.

Once you’re done with it, please clean and place the item back into The Play Hut, take a photo and send it to our team. This will officially conclude the rental. Detailed Instructions of obtain and return the items you borrowed will be included in the rental confirmation email.

How many items can I borrow at the same time?

You can borrow 1 item per registered guest at any given time. And each item is limited to 3 hours slot so that other guests can enjoy it too. However, you can make multiple reservations throughout your stay for various items.

What happens if I accidentally damage or lose the item?

If the item is not returned in the original condition (with the photo sent to the team), we do reserve the right to charge the retail value of the item to the credit card you’ve booked your reservation at Lumen with. We kindly request that you treat the items as you would your own, so that other guests can enjoy the rental just the same.

- Vintage Snow Sled: $250
- Modern Snow Sled: $80

- Snow Scooter: $50
- Snow Play Set: $20
- Electric Shoes Dryer: $75
